Macbeth- Thane of Glamis, scottish nobleman, Thane of Cawdor for his bravery, power hungry.
Lady Macbeth- Macbeth's wife, doesn't have compassion, looks to further herself in the world without thinking of others.
Banquo- is the father of Fleance and friend to Macbeth. is ambitious, but isn't self consummed in his desires like Macbeth.
Macduff- a Scottish nobleman, who puts his kingdom before his own family. Almost a foil to Macbeth.
King Duncan- The King of Scottland, the person Macbeth wants to be, is a good and compassionate king for his people. Puts his country before himself.
Malcom- King Duncan's oldest son, is immature at the start of the play and flees when his father is murdered, later returns to take over the trone that was rightfully his.
Weird Sisters- Three witches that encourage Macbeth to kill Duncan, tell half truthes to get people to do what they want them to do.
Fleance- Macbeth feels threatened by Banquo's teenage son because the Weird sisters said one of Banquo's decendents would run Scottland.
